The association of business travel managers has just announced the end of its activities. The reason for this bankruptcy is not only the<strong>economic impact of Covid-19<\/strong>But there was also a political factor. Indeed, ACTE's directors had been forced to cancel their Asian conference because of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hong-kong-hotellerie-aerien-20190802.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">situation in Hong Kong<\/a>. \" <em>At a time when the need for a plural, global voice is so great for an industry seeking to recover from disaster, it is with a broken heart that we must announce that we are filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and that ACTE has ceased trading.\u00a0<\/em>\"announced the association's management. He continued: \"\u00a0<em>Our discussions were wide-ranging and in-depth, with strong indications that we would succeed, but the recent spikes in COVID-19 have made investors and partners legitimately pessimistic about the viability of event-based organisations for some time to come.<\/em>\u00a0\".<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, another major business travel association is experiencing turbulence. Already troubled by an investigation into its CEO Scott Solombrino, the <strong>GBTA<\/strong> has just announced the cancellation of its US convention. This key event for the association and the business travel industry as a whole was due to be held in November in Paris. <strong>Denver<\/strong>. The cancellation was reportedly due to a problem with the availability of the Colorado Convention Center as a result of the health crisis. The US convention is due to return to Orlando in July 2021.
