{"id":98707,"date":"2020-08-27T01:16:06","date_gmt":"2020-08-26T23:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=98707"},"modified":"2020-08-27T09:07:11","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T07:07:11","slug":"sncf-lufthansa-total-ticket-flexibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sncf-lufthansa-total-ticket-flexibility","title":{"rendered":"SNCF and Lufthansa Group extend total ticket flexibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As uncertainty grows in Europe, with compulsory quarantine and bans on travel to certain regions, airlines are again suspending their flights, while travellers are cancelling their trips.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the <strong>Lufthansa Group -<\/strong>\u00a0which brings together the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/programme-groupe-lufthansa-visibilite-20200701.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">German company<\/a> but also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/swiss-lufthansa-long-courrier-2020-20190807.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SWISS<\/a>Austrian Airlines and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/brussels-airlines-alignement-tarifs-luthansa-20200810.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brussels Airlines<\/a> - decided to fundamentally change the pricing structure for these tickets earlier this week. Until the end of December,<strong> travellers will be able to change their booking as many times as they like, <\/strong>free of charge. Only the price difference will be applied if the booking is made in a different fare class.<\/p>\n<p>The group is thus offering its passengers even greater flexibility. Until now, only one change of date was authorised on promotional fare tickets. The new provision applies to all flight classes until the end of December. This includes the \"Light\" fare, for passengers with a single piece of cabin baggage. <strong>The new rules apply worldwide to all new bookings.<\/strong> on short-, medium- and long-haul routes.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Total flexibility at Lufthansa, <\/span><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">extended exchange facility at<\/span><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">a SNCF<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The same concern applies to <strong>SNCF, which announced on Wednesday that it was allowing tickets to be cancelled and exchanged free of charge <\/strong>valid on TGV INOUI, OUIGO, INTERCITES and TER trains connecting with main lines. This is in fact an extension of a facility introduced at the start of the pandemic. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sncf-masques-filtrage-distanciation-20200507.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">by SNCF<\/a> in the face of widespread confinement in France. <strong>All these exchange and cancellation measures are valid until 1 November. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, specific provisions apply to journeys by Eurostar, Thalys or TGV Lyria to Switzerland.
