Le Puy du Fou<\/a>A new player in the world of major professional events? Certainly not, as the venue was already hosting nearly 200 events a year. \"\u00a0We intend to double this figure in the future.<\/em>\u00a0\"says Thomas Guitet, Director of Puy du Fou Congr\u00e8s. Because, with the opening of a fully-fledged conference centre<\/strong>the theme park launched in 1978 by Philippe de Villiers, and famous for its Cin\u00e9sc\u00e9nie retracing the history of France, now has a facility entirely dedicated to hosting seminars and conventions.<\/p>\n

Based on the theme of the Grand Si\u00e8cle, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Moli\u00e8re covers an area of 3,500 m\u00b2, with a foyer of 450 m2, an amphitheatre seating 500 people<\/strong> with a 30 m\u00b2 LED screen and retractable stands, as well as 11 modular meeting rooms ranging from 40 to 250 m\u00b2. All at a cost of \u20ac12 million. \" In the past, with its seven meeting rooms spread throughout the park and the public facilities that could also be used for professional events, the Puy du Fou could host large events for 3,000 people and others for around a hundred.<\/em>explains Florence Glemarec, Commercial Director of Puy du Fou Congr\u00e8s. Today, we have a tailor-made tool for events with 500 to 600 participants.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\"<\/p>\n

Above all, following the rules of classical theatre, the congress centre offers a unity of place, time and action since it is located in the heart of the city. Nocturnal City<\/a>the area of the park dedicated to accommodation, offering a total of 500 rooms - and 2,500 beds - in its hotels with themes ranging from Gallo-Roman villas to the time of Louis XIV. The park's sixth establishment, the Grand Si\u00e8cle<\/strong>opened its doors last June, taking advantage of its close proximity to the convention centre. While Le Puy du Fou is open to the general public from Easter to All Saints' Day, this accommodation can welcome conference-goers all year round, opening according to demand. All of this is combined with the host of team-building and incentive activities on offer in the park, nestling in the heart of nature.<\/p>\n

The new Puy du Fou<\/a> comes strengthen the offering of the Vend\u00e9e destination<\/strong>The region already had two venues for major business events, both facing the ocean: the Les Atalantes conference centre in Les Sables d'Olonne, with an 800-seat auditorium and nine meeting rooms for a capacity of 1,200 people for cocktails, and the Odyss\u00e9a conference centre in Saint Jean de Monts. This beachfront venue also has a 400-seat auditorium, 12 meeting rooms and can organise meals for up to 900 guests.<\/p>\n

Just three hours by TGV from Paris and served by the airports of Nantes and La Rochelle, the Vend\u00e9e region is \"an ideal place to explore\". a destination to escape and enjoy the fresh air<\/strong><\/em> \"says Karen Alletru, Director of Tourism at Vend\u00e9e Tourisme. With a hotel capacity of 3,500 rooms, the region boasts a wide range of tourist attractions, including the sublime Ile d'Yeu, rolling bocage countryside and the Poitevin marshlands. \"A destination right in line with the current trend towards seminars in the heart of nature\".<\/em>continues Karen Alletru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vend\u00e9e Globe Challenge: the start is imminent<\/h3>\n

The village Vend\u00e9e Globe<\/a> will open its doors on October 17 until November 8, when the 33 skippers will set sail for the open sea for the ninth edition of this non-stop round-the-world sailing race. Aimed at the general public, with a strict health protocol this year, including one-way traffic and a capacity limited to 5,000 people, the village also welcomes businesses, many of them local and regional, but also, for 25 % of them, national in scope. To this end, a Hospitality Village offers 500m\u00b2 of conference space and around fifteen dressing rooms ranging from 25m\u00b2 to 150m\u00b2. This year, the boat L'Esp\u00e9rance will also be available for seminars and cocktail parties for around a hundred people, moored in the harbour or at sea, weather permitting. On the day of the big departure, around twenty boats with capacity for 45 to 180 people are chartered to follow this unique moment.
