
Despite strikes and disruptions in governance, 2018 seems to have been a good year overall for the group Air France KLM. For the first time in its history, it has even exceeded the symbolic threshold of 100 million passengers. In total, there were 101.4 million passengers in 2018, compared with 98.7 million in 2017. Overall traffic growth reached 2,8% compared with 2017, thanks in particular to the strong performance of Transavia.
The Group's low-cost airline posted the strongest growth (+7.11TP3Q) to reach 15.8 million passengers. Most of the traffic, however, was accounted for by Air France and HOP!These totalled 51.4 million passengers in 2018 (+0.4%), with greater momentum on the long-haul network (+1.5%) than on the short- and medium-haul network (-0.1%). As for KLMWith a total of 34.2 million passengers, the Dutch airline recorded a significant increase (+4.5%) compared with 2017.
