His arrival had been announced a long time ago, since 2017. It's now official: the 25Hours Hotel Terminus Nord will open its doors on 7 January. Located opposite Gare du Nord station, the 25hours is the result of the transformation of a former Mercure hotel housed in a building built in 1860. The architects Axel Schoenert are in charge of the renovation, while the German agency Dreimeta is responsible for the interior design.
Partner of AccorHotelsIn Paris, the German chain is replicating the dynamic, trendy concept that has made it such a success in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Zurich, Dusseldorf and Berlin among others. Visit 237 rooms ranging from S to XL, all feature an African-Indian design, playing on the melting pot of the Gare du Nord district. The visual identity was developed in collaboration with Alex Toledano, co-founder of the Visto Images consultancy agency, and a connoisseur of the 10th arrondissement, having lived there for 15 years. "The murals scattered around the hotel, the artworks and objects decorating the rooms, the signage in the corridors, the bar... everything has been chosen on the basis of what I was told by the residents, all of whom belong to an ethnic group or a profession that is emblematic of the 10th arrondissement."he explains.
For hotel guests, local residents or travellers between trains, 25 Hours offers a restaurant, NENI, serving Israeli-inspired cuisine throughout the day, as well as a cocktail bar, Sape. The hotel also has a coworking space.
