" Fully aware of the essential role played by air transport in the economic and tourism development of the French Overseas Departments and Regions (DROM), the consortium is acquiring Corsair's entire share capital in order to support it in its restructuring and development project, and thus enable the maintenance of a sufficient number of players on services to the DROM", says the press release, which emphasises "the very strong local imprint of its members ". For his part, the Minister for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebarri welcomed the agreement: " 1,000 jobs protected, service to our overseas territories preserved, a transformation plan to enable it to return to profitability.
