These "communicating windows provide travellers with real-time information, adapted to the direction of traffic. In this way, business travellers on their way to the airport have access to information relating to their forthcoming journey, including flights departing from Paris-Orly and the weather in their destination towns. On the return journey to Antony, these communicating windows inform passengers of the times of the next RER B trains. Currently reserved for travellers to and from Orly, this innovation could well become widespread. In fact, those in charge of the project are opening the door to much wider deployment, as Lionel Le Fessant explains: "By overcoming all the technical difficulties, we have demonstrated that it is possible to reproduce this passenger information system on different types of equipment: trams, metros, trains and buses.". A number of experiments are already planned by Île-de-France Mobilités from 2021. A fifteen buses networks will soon be equipped with intelligent screens, and tests are also planned for this year on the trams and metro.
