Directly linked to the main railway station, the august Gothic-style building has been home to Winston Churchill, Chaplin and the Beatles, and is home to 230 roomsa restaurant, a champagne bar and spacious meeting areas with 10 meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 600 people, including 400 in its main room, the Grand Room.
As well as Glasgow, voco will also be setting up in EdinburghThis time not in a historic location in the Scottish capital, but with a newly built hotel. Located in the West End, one mile from the city centre, voco Edinburgh - Haymarket will offer 150 rooms and suitesA restaurant open all day and a lively bar.
Due to the pandemic and by government decision, these establishments are currently closed, the Scottish hotel is due to reopen in April/May. When it opens, voco Edinburgh - Haymarket will be the brand's seventh in the UK, with voco also present in Cardiff, Oxford and Reading.
Voco currently has ten hotels in Europe. Launched in 2018 and initially rolled out in the Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa region, the voco brand has also expanded to the US and Greater China in 2020.
