During the new process tested at Orly airport, the three recorded documents are then used to speed up all the formalities, from baggage drop-off to border crossing.
Every step of the way, a camera will identify the face and compare it with the data stored in memory. Once recognised, passengers are allowed to cross the border without having to show any form of identification or their boarding card. This saves valuable time.
The trial is currently being carried out on Transavia flights to Morocco. However, the company Air Caraïbes should soon benefit from this facility on its flights to the French overseas departments.
