The carrier Turkish Airlines once again offers a hot meal service on these routes with a flight time of at least two hours 15 minutes. The service had been reduced to a strict minimum because of the pandemic. Since last year, boxes containing a cold meal have been offered in all flight classes. The meal service is provided by the DO&CO caterer, considered to be one of the best in the airline catering industry.
The return of hot meals is therefore proposed in economy class and in business class on all the airline's flights from French-speaking Europe. This includes lines to Paris-CDG and Brussels (two daily flights), Geneva (11 weekly flights and Basel/Mulhouse (10 weekly flights), Lyon (5 flights/week), Luxembourg and Marseille (4 flights/week), Nice (3 flights/week) and Toulouse (2 flights/week). Visit connections to Bordeaux and Strasbourg remain for the time being suspended.
What's more, Turkish Airlines states that all its flights to Brazil, Denmark, the United Kingdom and South Africa remain banned. until further notice. However, the Turkish carrier's network continues to be one of the densest in the world with over 220 destinations to 127 countries.
Last year, Turkish carried 24.8 million passengers on its international routes against more than 108 million in 2019. In its forecasts to the end of 2020, the company estimates that this year it could again carry almost 58 million passengers on its international routes.
