L'Algeria has just indicated that it will reopen its borders to international travellers from 1 June. However, according to the authorities, this will be a gradual reopening. The borders had been hermetically sealed since March 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. Only a few repatriation flights were able to operate during this period.
According to the text published after the Council of Ministers meeting on 16 May, this reopening will begin with " a plan for five daily flights to and from Algiers, Constantine and Oran airports" . A press release will detail the health safety protocols and preventive measures in a week's time.

The validity of the test is likely to prove an obstacle because it is much shorter than for other countries...
"Negative subjects will be allowed in. They will be informed of the recommendations and instructions to be followed. Positive subjects will be confined for 10 days. stressed the Minister. Any quarantine will be at the traveller's expense.
