Nairobi: practical information

GETTING THERE:

Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is located 19 kilometres south-east of the Kenyan capital's city centre. Thirty-three airlines use this East African transport hub. Kenya Airways, which offers several weekly flights to Paris, recently left its joint venture with Air France and offers more than 48 % of the seats available from Nairobi. Next in line are Ethiopian Airlines, Qatar Airways and Emirates.

Taxis take passengers to the centre of the capital in around thirty minutes. The fare is between 1,200 and 2,000 KES. City Bus 34 takes passengers into the city centre for 35 KES. There is an airport VIP service offering limousine and concierge services from the airport:
