25 June 2021, Qatar Airways has brought its latest aircraft into service, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner between Doha and Milan. A route that offers the latest version of the carrier's business class, the Business Class Suite.
Out of a total of 311 seats, Qatar Airways is offering 30 business suites on the B787-9s. These will connect Doha to the towns ofAthensBarcelona, Dammam, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid and Milan.
The Boeing 787-9 does not allow the space to be transformed into a lounge for several passengers wishing to dine or chat together as on theAirbus A350 - which has a wider fuselage than its American counterpart. But the Dreamliner version offers most of the comfort features of the Q-Suite.

According to Akbar Al-Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, " The new Business Class Suite sets a new industry standard by offering a unique private experience for premium passengers. This is becoming increasingly important in these times of pandemic, while highlighting Qatar Airways' 5-star standards of excellence and Qatari hospitality that are quintessential to all our flights." .
Continued excellence in Business Class Suite
Arranged in a herringbone pattern a 1-2-1 configuration, with each suite having direct access and a sliding door to ensure privacy. Passengers seated in adjacent central suites can adjust a panel to isolate them from the rest of the cabin.
The Business Class Suite seat converts into a a 2m00 flat bed. Passengers also benefit from large video screens and plenty of storage space. They can recharge their device using wireless technology compatible with iOS and Android devices..
The business-class suite is complemented by Qatar Airways' renowned in-flight service, including on-demand menus. For example, a trendy vegan option!
The 281 economy class seats have also been upgraded. The seats manufactured by Recaro are equipped with a 33 cm Panasonic IFE touch screen.. They include a holder for mobile phones or iPads. The seat hasa rotating armrest that can be fully stowed away in the backrest. This also makes for a more comfortable and spacious experience. Passengers will be able to enjoy Quisine" menusoffering a more elaborate cuisine.
Qatar Airways has reviewed its strategy for its long-haul fleet. The Covid crisis has confirmed the airline's decision to retire its Airbus A380s. The aircraft are now considered unsuitable for traffic and too polluting. The Qatar Airways long-haul fleet now comprises 53 Airbus A350s and 37 Boeing 787s.. A combination that the company considers ideal.
