The airport authorities of Munich are smiling again. The autumn/winter 2021 season is shaping up to be a bright one, with the return of a number of airlines and the the rise of Lufthansa. In total, the airport will be linked again this September to 170 destinations, or 80% of its pre-Covid network.
At the intercontinental, since last week, Air Canada offers three non-stop flights a week from Munich to Toronto. Passengers can also travel to Canada on Lufthansa's five weekly flights to Vancouver.
Singapore Airlineswhich resumed flights to Munich in January, has just announced the addition of two extra frequencies per week. The Bavarian metropolis is now connected five times a week, an increase in capacity that is also due to Singapore's recent decision to welcome travellers arriving from Germany without compulsory quarantine. All that is required is a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old. Travellers must also undergo a PCR test on arrival and after three days in Singapore.
More flights to Europe with Lufthansa
From 1 October, Lufthansa to serve Dubai three times a week by Airbus A350. It will have to cohabit with Emirates. The latter has just announced that it will be increasing the number of weekly flights between the two cities from seven in October to nine.
Lufthansa has just announced an increase in the number of flights to Europe from Munich.. The carrier has announced that it will be operating around a hundred extra flights a week to a total of 20 European destinations. This increase in capacity includes flights to Amsterdam, Budapest, Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna. The company is also announcing the resumption of services to Birmingham, Basel, Leipzig, Luxembourg, Paderborn and Stuttgart.
Finally, this autumn EasyJet is increasing its flights to London-Gatwick (four times a week) and Milan-Malpensa (three times a week).
