Located in the Pest district and not far from the main business areas of the Hungarian capital, the hotel offers travellers 230 rooms and suites equipped with a desk, sofa and comfortable bed. As part of the evolution of the brand and its new concept combining contemporary design and multifunctional communal spaces where guests can relax and work, the Crowne Plaza Budapest features a Plaza Workspace where visiting professionals and local clients can relax, work on their own or meet up. Guests will find a number of dining options in the hotel lobby, including the Axis Café and Lounge restaurant, pending the opening of a rooftop restaurant called Cult in early 2022.
" Hotel guests no longer need to feel isolated in their room or confined to a business centre to be productive, and local residents no longer need to hesitate to enter a hotel lobby to have a coffee and send emails for fear of being asked for their room number." said Maurice Janssen, General Manager of the hotel. In addition to these mobile working facilities, the hotel also has a MICE area comprising 13 meeting rooms and event spaces, as well as a Club Lounge with a private terrace overlooking the city.
Alongside this opening, the British group has also announced the future development of a Kimpton in the Hungarian capital. Located on the Buda side of Jozsef Bem Square, this luxury lifestyle hotel will offer 127 rooms and a rooftop bar. However, travellers will have to be patient before they can discover the establishment, as it is not expected to open until early 2025.
