
The Radisson Hotel Group is stepping up the development of its new Radisson Individuals brand on the French market. one of its key markets, Russia. Already boasting a network of 47 hotels in operation or under development - making it the leading international hotel operator in the country - Radisson is building on this base to extend the reach of its collection of top-of-the-range independent hotels launched last year. This brand already has around twenty hotels in the Europe-Middle East-Africa region and is preparing to welcome 11 more in Russia. The Radisson group has reached an agreement with local hotelier Cosmos to affiliate some of their establishments to the Radisson Individuals banner, but they will continue to operate in parallel under the Cosmos Hotels brand to retain their own identity.
To begin with, seven existing hotels to join Radisson Individuals before four more join them by 2025. In the future, the number of Cosmos Group hotels that are also members of Radisson Individuals could increase. " We see this "symbiosis" between Cosmos HG and Radisson Hotel Group as an overhaul of our approach to developing the hotel sector in Russia." said Alexandr Shvein, President of Cosmos Hotel Group.
The announcement of this partnership came just a few days after the opening in Russia of another of the hotel group's establishments, the Radisson Gorizont Rostov-on-Donthe group's second in this major city in the west of the country. Located close to the historic centre, this new establishment is part of a building complex combining a shopping centre, cinema and water park. It's a place for leisure, but also for business meetings.
In addition to its 169 rooms and suites with workspaces and its restaurant, the Scandinavian-designed hotel has a conference room which can accommodate up to 250 people, as well as five meeting rooms for 10 to 20 people. This is already a significant offering, but it can be further expanded thanks to the adjacent cinema, with its 13 screens available for events. " The hotel's corporate clients and partners have numerous opportunities to organise events of all shapes and sizes." says Dan Polonsky, general manager of the Horizon shopping centre.
The Radisson Group's expansion in Russia will continue shortly with the addition of a second Radisson Collection hotel in Sochi, in addition to the Radisson Collection Paradise Resort and Spa opening in 2019. A collection of five-star hotels which is also adding a destination to its range of luxury products, with the Palazzo Nani in VeniceA Renaissance palace transformed into a 52-room hotel in the Cannaregio district, close to the ghetto. Opened after 22 months of renovation, the building, which has retained its historic ornamentation, houses a private meeting room and a space that can accommodate up to 80 people.
