Iberia speeds up its return to the Americas, particularly Latin AmericaThis is a region in which the carrier plays a leading role from Europe. Iberia is the most important European airline to this part of the world, with the service to 17 countries.
On 2 December, the Spanish company took over its route from Madrid to Cali (Colombia). The largest city in southern Colombia now benefits from three flights a week. At the same time, Iberia to add a second daily flight between Madrid and Bogota from 19 February.
Also in Latin America, from April Iberia will be offering 12 weekly flights to Buenos Aires -instead of 8 at present. During the summer peak, the Spanish carrier will even land twice a day in the Argentine capital. On MexicoBetween April and October, Iberia will be offering five additional weekly flights. 19 flights a week from Madrid. Finally, from April, the carrier will be adding a weekly frequency on San Juan de Puerto Rico from Madrid, five flights a week.
Openings in Dallas and San Francisco
North America will also benefit from an increase in frequencies for the Spanish airline. From April, Iberia will be offering 14 flights a week to New York instead of the current 10. Next April, Iberia will be inaugurating two new routes to Dallas and Washington DC. Each destination will receive an Iberia aircraft four times a week. At the same time, the airline plans to resume services to San Francisco from Madrid with three flights a week.
