
Having recently moved to Milan and Seville, The Radisson Collection has just arrived in Berlinin the heart of the Mitte district. To make its debut in the German capital, Radisson's luxury brand has moved into one of the group's existing hotels, famous for its AquaDom, an immense cylindrical aquarium that rises from the lobby to the top of the hotel's six floors.
The aquarium is still there in the middle of the atrium, as are its 1,600 tropical fish, but as for the rest, the hotel has undergone a major renovation. a whole year of renovation to bring its offering up to the brand's standards. With refurbished rooms, a renovated reception area and a new design, the hotel has been completely modernised. " After an extensive creative design process and all the hard work that has gone into creating our flagship German hotel, we are delighted to launch the Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin." says Oliver Staas, the hotel's general manager.
The hotel now boasts 427 rooms and suites The rooms are decorated in shades of wood, grey and plum, all with large mirrored televisions and in-room espresso machines. Some have balconies overlooking the Spree and the silhouette of the famous television tower or cathedral nearby.
The MICE offer is still one of the Radisson Collection's strong points, with 15 multifunctional meeting rooms spread over three floors and 2,750 m² in total. The highlight of these venues dedicated to events and meetings is an exclusive space under the glass roof - the DomLounge - offering panoramic views of the city.
Like all top-of-the-range establishments, the Radisson Collection Berlin has an extensive spa with an indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness centre. On the food and beverage front, guests can enjoy a wide selection of local specialities and beers in the Atrium Bar, while watching the tropical fish frolic in the AquaDom. From next March, the hotel will be offering its new main restaurant, BalaustineThe menu features Middle Eastern flavours. In summer, the terrace overlooks the Spree. An ideal place for breakfast, dinner or an evening drink.
