Vueling confirms its ramp-up at its Orly base this summer. The low-cost carrier, a subsidiary of the IAG group, has significantly increased its presence with the recovery of Air France slots at this airport. It is the second largest international carrier from the Paris hub. It follows Transavia (75 destinations) and remains far ahead easyJet (22 destinations).
Vueling is thus confirming its winter expansion for the summer season at Paris-Orly. From the end of March, the airline will be offering 50 destinations from Paris airport for summer 2022. Vueling will connect Paris with Germany, Denmark, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The carrier also serves Morocco.
The company is launching the 1st February two frequencies per week to Kiev (Tuesday and Sunday until March, then Wednesday and Saturday). From the end of January, it will also be offering one or two weekly flights between Orly and La Palma in the Canaries.
Vueling also confirms that it serves 5 other French airports: Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Nice. The company will be offering 14 destinations in all.
The carrier has also announced the launch of a new base at London Gatwick airport from March. From the London hub, Vueling serves Barcelona, Bilbao, Florence, Paris-Orly, Rome-Fiumicino, Santiago de Compostela and Valencia. It will be adding 5 new routes to Spain, including Granada, Malaga and Seville.
