The luxury group Rocco Forte will its beginnings in Asia This year, in Shanghai, as part of the Westbund project, revitalising the area around the former Longhua airport. The programme includes 161 rooms and 58 suites with views, an arty approach and a design by Olga Polizzi, Sir Rocco's sister.

The St. Regis Chicago
The brand, which extends the aura of the eponymous New York palace around the world, will soon be part of the Chicago skyline. The skyscraper that houses it, designed by Jeanne Gang, will be the third highest tower in the city. High-flying luxury for this 191-room hotel with 360° views over the Windy City and Lake Michigan.

Conrad at the Grand LA
Located in the heart of Grand Ave. Arts, this new top-of-the-range hotel is part of the development of a vast multifunctional complex designed by Frank Gehry. Housed in a 28-storey tower, when it opens in June the Conrad Los Angeles at The Grand LA will offer 305 rooms and over 3,500 m2 dedicated to meetings and events. Its added bonus: an immense 5,000 m2 rooftop with swimming pool.

As part of its expansion in the United StatescitizenM, the lifestyle brand with low prices, will open two hotels in Miami in the first half of the year, one in the trendy Brickell district and the other in the heart of the business district with a 351-room hotel integrated into the Worldcenter urban project.

Aman New York
The ultra-luxury Aman brand is going urban, setting up shop in New York in the Crown Building, a historic building on Manhattan's 5th Avenue. A urban sanctuary designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, will offer 83 rooms and suites, 22 residential flats, a 10th-floor terrace, two restaurants and an elegant piano bar.
Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet's New York
The Group Barrier will be setting up in New York this summer, exporting its flagship brand from the Champs-Elysées to Manhattan. Located in the cobbled streets of the Tribeca district, the 97-room hotel designed by Martin Brudnizcki will offer French-style luxury, with a Fouquet's brasserie, a spa, a cinema and a suspended terrace as its highlights.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Nomad
Already present on the outskirts of Central Park, the Marriott group's luxury brand will be adding a second New York address in the first quarter, in the lively NoMad districtbetween Flatiron and the Empire State Building. In addition to 250 elegant rooms, the Ritz-Carlton will offer several culinary venues designed by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés - including a rooftop bar - as well as two floors dedicated to events and meetings, complete with a private outdoor terrace.

Known for its trendy hotels in Brooklyn, Los Angeles and Kyoto, Ace Hotel will be opening in Toronto early this summer. It will be located in the Garment District, in keeping with the brand, the fashion district of canada's metropolis. Designed by architects Shim-Sutcliffe, the industrial-inspired building will house 124 rooms.

Expected early this year, the SLS brand will be setting up in the lively Puerto Madero, The result of the redevelopment of the Argentine capital's former industrial port, this urban resort features 58 rooms and suites designed by Piero Lissoni, as well as a large function room for meetings and corporate events.

The prestigious Sofitel brand to be launched in the second quarter in Panama's UNESCO-listed historic quarterThe Casco Viejo, not far from the city's financial district, is a seafront hotel steeped in history, with four meeting rooms.

At the beginning of the year, the luxury brand Rosewood was the perfect sign of his arrival in São Paulo, withan urban oasis with an arty, sustainable approach located close to Avenida Paulista. The project, in which Jean Nouvel and Philippe Starck played a part, will include 160 rooms and suites and a vast 2,045 m2 space for VIP events and meetings.
JW Marriott São Paulo
The top-of-the-range brand JW Marriott will be installed in the second quarter in the heart of the financial district in Sao Paulo, within the walls of the former Four Seasons. Located along Avenida Nações Unidas, within the Parque da Cidade complex, the hotel will offer 258 rooms for business travellers, as well as a meeting area of over 1,000 m².
