SO/ Paris: a new flagship for Accor's lifestyle brand

The lifestyle brand So/ is coming to Paris with a trendy hotel on the banks of the Seine, as part of the renovation of the former administrative centre on Boulevard Morland into a living space.

The veil is beginning to be lifted on the future lifestyle hotel So/Paris, part of the Morland Mixité Capitale project. Developed by Emerige, one of the major players in the Paris of tomorrow, the complex aims to refurbishment of the Cité administrative on boulevard Morland. Designed in the early 60s by architect Albert Laprade. Previously closed to visitors, it has now been redesigned by David Chipperfield and CALQ Architecture as a place to live, play and work. With a lively, attractive street running through it, the site is being transformed into a dozen or so spaces open to Parisians and tourists alike, including a 162-room hotel on the banks of the Seineexpected in the next few weeks, in keeping with the innovative tone of this redesigned venue.

Part of the Group EnnismoreThe So/ brand was not yet represented in Paris, but its trendy spirit had already spread around the world, to Auckland, Bangkok, Saint Petersburg and Vienna, with artistic directors guaranteeing its success. avant-garde positioning such as Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagrefeld and Vikttor & Rolf. For its debut on the Paris scene, a number of personalities have been involved, including Neïl Beloufa, Thomas Fougeirol, Olafur Elíasson and Studio Other Spaces, while on the fashion side, the wardrobe for the SO/Paris teams has been entrusted to rising fashion star Guillaume Henry, Artistic Director of Patou.

In addition to its 140 rooms and 22 suites with a view, spread between the 7th and 14th floors of the building, the So/Paris will feature lively spaces in keeping with the brand's image, including a new restaurant-bar-club concept proposed by Paris Society, called Bonnie. On the relaxation front, SO/Paris will offer an urban wellness experience in partnership with French natural skincare brand Codage. Guests will also have access to the vast fitness room and swimming pool at the Morland Mixité Capitale complex. The So/Paris will also have a business dimension with 200m2 of meeting spaceIt features four modular rooms with natural daylight. The bar and club are also available for private hire for tailor-made events.
