Following in the footsteps of Spain's Melia, which plans to strengthen its offer in the country of a dozen establishments in partnership with VinpearlOne of the country's largest hotel owners, Marriott is now showing its strong ambitions. The American group plans to quadruple its offeringuntil now limited to ten hotels.
Marriott International has signed some thirty new hotels, representing almost 9,000 rooms, with the introduction of several key brands to this market. Its flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, is set to make its debut in Hanoi and Hoi An, while its residential version, Marriott Executive Apartments, will be established in Danang.
Situated on the seafront, Vietnam's third-largest city and the industrial heart of the country's central region has a key role in this development plan with a Renaissance, a Méridien and a Courtyard by Marriott also in the pipeline. The mid-range Courtyard brand will also appear in Ha Long and Nha Trang, while the budget Fairfield brand will discover cities such as Vinh Yen, Ha Long and Hanoi,
In addition to this Fairfield and the aforementioned Marriott, the country's capital will see the opening of the Westin premium and wellness hotel and a Ritz-Carlton Residences complex. Other announced openings include a Westin and a Meridien in Cam Ranh, while the Sheraton brand, well known to business travellers, is expected to open in tourist hotspots such as Ha Long Bay, the hot springs of Binh Chau and the island of Phu Quoc, as well as in a major metropolis such as Dalat.
