The Radisson group is adding not one, but two new hotels for business travellers passing through Oslo airport. The Scandinavian-born hotelier, which was already present at close to the Norwegian capital hub with a Radisson Blu and a Park Inn by Radisson, has just opened a complex incorporating two of its brands, a stone's throw from both airport terminals and the express train linking the airport to Oslo city centre in less than 20 minutes.
Modelled on what has already been on offer at London Heathrow since September 2020, the hotel group has played on the combination of a lifestyle hotel Radisson Red and a Radisson hotel focused on seminars and conferences. Hotels with a view of the airport runways, both of which play on the theme of the airport. Nordic design expertise and a warm Scandinavian welcome and sharing some of their facilities, such as the GAMO restaurant and bar, the beating heart of the lobby. However, each is playing up the specific features of their respective brands with, on the one hand, a 214-room Radisson Red hotel. an urban and arty atmosphere reinforced by a partnership with the Norwegian art museum Kistefos. On the other hand, the Radisson is more classic in its approach, offering 300 rooms in soft tones and natural materials. In addition to its contemporary hospitality, the hotel's main asset in the eyes of travellers is that it houses a vast conference centre with no fewer than 52 meeting rooms of different sizes, but all equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, a 236 m² ballroom and a 480 m² reception area. Divided into three sections, with separate break-out areas, this conference centre can accommodate all types of events.
