These flights will be operated by the fleet of A321neo La Companyrenewed in September 2019. The new-generation aircraft offers excellent environmental performance. It is quieter and consumes 30% less fuel than older-generation aircraft.
Passengers will also enjoy the comfort of the single, human-sized cabin 100% Business class from La Company. It has 76 seats, arranged in pairs, which recline to form a perfectly flat bed.. In addition to the sleeper seat, the carrier offers free and unlimited wifi as well as seasonal gourmet cuisine to which Gael and Michael Tourteaux, the two Michelin-starred chefs from the Flaveur restaurant in Nice, have contributed.
Christian Vernet, Chairman of La Company, explains that "after the success of 2019 with our old planes and the partial resumption last summer with only Americans on board due to the With the closure of the US border, we are consolidating our presence this summer with new-generation aircraft to offer Côte d'Azur residents a 100% business experience to get back to the United States".
Competition with Delta Air Lines
However, the Company must face competition from Delta Air Linesalso back on the Nice-New York route. Delta has been offering five flights a week to JFK since 27 March. The frequency will become daily from 2 May. The American carrier has also launched its new premium cabin on this route, as well as new sustainable products on board, including toiletry kits and more eco-friendly bedding.
