A Qatari version of the Royal Méridien, the jewel of Place Vendôme

The Le Méridien brand is opening a luxury hotel in Qatar, within the Place Vendôme complex, suitable for short and long stays as well as business events, with an 11,000 square metre MICE area.

There's no guarantee that the French team will retain their World Cup title. But as the end-of-year competition in the QatarBut one thing is certain: visitors to the emirate will find little hints of France. Particularly at the heart of a vast luxury complex named after Parisian chic, Place Vendôme Qatarinaugurated in September 2021. Comprising more than 500 shops, restaurants, event spaces and offices, and located in the heart of Lusail, Qatar's city in the making, the site's décor is inspired by the Rue de la Paix, with a touch of Middle Eastern grandiloquence.

And it is within this framework that a hotel brand originally "made in France", Le Méridiennow owned by the Marriott group. Connected to the Place Vendôme Qatar, Le Royal Méridien Doha blends in with its neoclassical architecture and offers 240 roomsThese include 53 suites with sea or city views. To complete this offer, the hotel also has 137 long-stay accommodationThese range from studios to three-bedroom flats. Club room guests have exclusive access to the hotel's Club Lounge.

With a contemporary look and nods to the glamour of the Côte d'Azur in the 1960s, but also to pearl diving, a historic activity in Qatar, Le Royal Méridien Doha plays the chic card, while offering its guests a host of services. These include several bars and restaurants, including an Italian trattoria designed by "gypsy chef" David Myers, an open-air table featuring authentic Turkish cuisine and the G.O.A.T Sports Lounge. As the hotel is one of the closest to the stadium that will host the World Cup final, this bar will easily accommodate fans without a precious sesame, with its 19 screens devoted to live sport and its private projection room, billiards table and live music, all complemented by an outdoor terrace. As for relaxation, Le Royal Méridien Doha also has an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and, from this summer, a spa.

Meetings and events are not forgotten in this plethora, with Le Royal Méridien Doha dedicating an in-house team, Le Caractère Events, to organising them. With 11,000 m2 of MICE spaceWith a ballroom for up to 750 people, the hotel can accommodate everything from board meetings to gala dinners. The hotel also offers six flexible meeting rooms and six sub-commission rooms.
