The Danieli in Venice under the Four Seasons banner in 2025

It's one of the most famous hotels in the Serenissima. The legendary Danieli in Venice will become a Four Seasons in 2025, following major renovation work and a new decor by Pierre-Yves Rochon.

The big names in the hotel industry like to play musical chairs. While a JW Marriott hotel has recently opened in Sao Paulo within the walls of a former Four Seasons buildingVenice's legendary Hotel Danieli is preparing to take the opposite route. Currently part of another of the Marriott group's brands, the Luxury Collection, the Danieli will come under the flag of the Canadian luxury group from 2025.

But before becoming theHotel Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel "The famous palace on the Grand Canal, close to Saint Mark's Square, is to undergo major renovation work to restore it to its former glory. While its Venetian Gothic architecture will be preserved, as will the works of art and antiques in its three buildings - the Palazzo Dandolo, dating from the 14th century, and two palaces added in the 19th century - its décor is set to be revisited by Pierre-Yves Rochon. The hotel currently has over 200 rooms, four bars and restaurants and seven meeting and event spaces. The Danieli is extending its collection of luxury hotels in Italy, Four Seasons is already present in Florence, Milan and Taormina.The latter two are already in partnership with Gruppo Statuto. Another expected opening is a seaside resort in Puglia, around forty minutes by car from Otsuni and Aberobello, with 150 rooms and suites and event facilities, including a large function room.

Future developments announced by Four Seasons over the next few years include a forthcoming opening at OmanThe brand will also be adding a second property in Qatar, after the one in Doha, as part of the project to redevelop a former yacht club and marina in the capital Muscat into 200 rooms and suites and 100 private residences.
