Hilton: 100 in Turkey, the largest Hampton in Vienna

The Hilton group will pass the 100-hotel mark in Turkey with the arrival of the Canopy brand in Istanbul in 2023, as part of a vast urban renewal project. Another announced opening is that of the future largest Hampton by Hilton in Europe, expected in Vienna in 2024.

The Hilton Group has just passed the milestone of 100 hotels in Turkey, both in operation and planned. This is more than 65 years after the opening of its first hotel outside the United States, theIstanbul Hiltonnow renamed Istanbul Bosphorus. The American group already has 25 hotels in Turkey's main metropolis under its Hilton Hotels, Conrad, Curio Collection, DoubleTree, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton brands. a new banner in 2023 Canopy by Hilton.

Next year, the upmarket lifestyle brand will be setting up in the heart of the European part of the city, next to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. The hotel will be part of the largest urban renewal project currently underway in Turquie, Taksim 360. Offices, accommodation, trendy cafés and restaurants, shopping: this property complex reinterprets Istanbul's early 20th-century architecture with a modern twist, and to eco-responsible standards. Within this framework, the Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim, easily accessible with a nearby metro station, will offer 110 designer rooms, a lobby with several dining options and, for business travellers, a meeting room and a conference room.

Another landmark project for the American group is the expected opening in 2024 of Hampton by Hilton's new European flagship. With 358 rooms, the Hampton by Hilton Vienna City West will be the brand's largest in Europe and its second establishment after the Hampton by Hilton Vienna Messe. The mid-range brand is the one that knows " the fastest-growing region in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with more than 200 properties marketed or under development" said Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton's senior vice president of development for the EMEA region. Located in the west of Vienna, just a fifteen-minute walk from the Wien Westbahnhof, one of the Austrian capital's main railway stations, the hotel will feature a large number of rooms, a multi-functional lobby and a fully-equipped fitness centre.
