
On 20 June, Oneworld officially announced that Oman Air would be joining the alliance by 2024..
The arrival of Oman Air in the oneworld alliance will strengthen the position of the airline group in the Middle East. Oman Air will be the second Gulf carrier to join the alliance after Qatar Airways and, in the Levant, Royal Jordanian.
Oman Air joins oneworld will add new destinations to the alliance's network, including Duqm and Khasab in Oman and Chittagong in Bangladesh.
