From 12 December 2022, Air France will operate a daily direct service between its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub and New York-Newark Liberty airport. (EWR). The hub is the second largest international airport in the New York region. It is located around 30 km from Manhattan. Air France already operated a direct service to this airport until 2012.
The future CDG-Newark route will operate all year round. It will complement the eight daily flights on the Paris CDG-New York JFK route.. Air France operates six frequencies and Delta Air Lines two.
The company will introduce a Boeing 777-200 with a capacity of 280 seats (40 in the Business cabin, 24 in Premium Economy and 216 in Economy). The aircraft will offer wi-fi connection.
New York-Newark Liberty will be Air France's 18th destination in North America this winter. The airline serves Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C. in the United States. It also lands in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, as well as Cancun and Mexico City in Mexico.
In 2019, Newark welcomed some 46.5 million passengers a year. In 2021, its traffic will again reach 30 million passengers.
