Vienna joins the prestigious Rosewood catalogue

The Rosewood Vienna has just opened its doors in a building built in 1835 on Petersplatz.

A new, luxurious address made its debut on the Viennese hotel scene on Monday. Visit Rosewood Vienna opened its doors on 1st August. For this fifth installation in EuropeThe top-of-the-range brand has moved into a prime address: the former headquarters of Erste Group Bank AG, one of the buildings in which Mozart lived and worked. And it's right in the heart of the Austrian capital, on Petersplatz.

The conversion of the vast neoclassical building was entrusted to local architects A2K and BEHF, with London studio Alexander Waterworth responsible for the interior design.

In terms of meetings and events, the establishment has the following facilities three Pavilions - which can be connected to form a single event space - in addition to the Coffee Bar. The Rosewood Vienna hotel also features a brasserie on the sixth floor and a rooftop bar with a view of the Old Town. On the wellbeing front, from September the Asaya Spa will be offering treatments inspired by Austrian traditions.
