Cairo, Asturias and Shannon from Orly with Vueling

Vueling, IAG's low-cost subsidiary, has announced that it is positioning itself this winter from Paris to Asturias in Spain, Cairo and Shannon in Ireland.

Vueling has just announced two new routes departing from Paris Orly this winter, as well as the extension of the Orly-Asturias route launched this summer.. The latter will continue to be served twice weekly. Vueling plans to launch two further flights a week on 30 October from Asturias (Spain) to Amsterdam. The flights will be operated by Airbus A320.

However, the most important new service from Paris will be the Orly-Cairo. Vueling to offer two weekly flights and will face competition from Transavia, already present on the route from Orly. It should be noted that Air France and Egyptair also offer daily flights on this segment - albeit from Paris-CDG.

Finally, Vueling is taking over a route formerly served by Ryanair from Beauvais. From 12 September, the Spanish carrier will be operating on the Paris-Shannon route to the west of Ireland.. Here too, Vueling will be offering two weekly flights.

In addition, Vueling has changed check-in times for its flights outside the Schengen area. The airline has been closing check-in formalities since 1 July. 60 minutes before flight departure.
