3 Questions to Antoine Pasquet, CEO of Multiburo

What are the differences between a business centre and a hotel when it comes to meetings?

First of all, the welcome is not the same. With us, customers find themselves in the professional environment of an office building, and not mixed up with the demands of a leisure clientele, as is inevitably the case in a hotel. We are striving to further strengthen this specialisation by developing areas in centres such as Paris- Gare de Lyon, Opéra-Bourse, Trocadéro or Lyon-Part Dieu dedicated to our Tempo offer - rental by the hour, half-day, day, etc. Our solutions are also more flexible. Whereas in a hotel, the meal is often included in the service, our offices can be rented either without services or with meal breaks.

Why did you set up the Locartis network?

This enables us to meet the demands of our international customers, who want to benefit from turnkey solutions in all the countries where they are established, with guaranteed quality of service. The idea is to select and affiliate colleagues abroad and to provide training and leadership for the network. The Locartis network comprises 90 centres in Europe, around 100 in North America and 50 in Asia-Pacific.

What are your plans for setting up operations in France and abroad?

In France and Belgium, we're initially targeting locations where we don't already have a presence, such as Paris-Rive Gauche or Strasbourg. In cities where we are already established, we generally want to combine a site in the city centre, close to the station, with a site on the outskirts. For example, we are looking for complementary sites in Lille and Toulouse.

As far as international expansion is concerned, we are currently working on two possibilities: expansion into Latin Europe or into Northern Europe from the Benelux countries. The aim is to double the size of the Multiburo network within five to seven years.
