Le network ofIberia in Latin America has returned to its pre-Covid volume, particularly in Mexico. With three daily flights, Mexico City will become Iberia's busiest long-haul destination.
This decision to once again offer these three daily frequencies from Madrid strengthens the Spanish airline's leading position in the Latin American market.
Flights to Mexico City will be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft. a new-generation aircraft seating 348 passengers in three classes (Business, Premium Economy and Economy).
In Mexico, the signing of a code-share agreement with Viva Aerobus opens up new possibilities for passengers. The agreement gives passengers access to 19 connecting cities within Mexico.

Elsewhere in Latin AmericaIberia should once again offer the same capacity as before the Covid pandemic for its winter timetable. From November, the carrier will once again offer three weekly frequencies from Madrid-Barajas to Caracas to Venezuela. It will also be relaunching services to Rio de Janeiroat the rate of three flights a week.
At the end of October, Iberia also increased its frequencies between Madrid and Guatemala City/El Salvador. The two capitals will benefit from a daily frequency. Quito will increase to six frequencies/week, Havana to 5 flights/week and Guayaquil (Ecuador) to 3 flights/week..
Outside Latin America, the Spanish carrier is also strengthening its position in the United States. Madrid-Miami reduced from 10 weekly flights to two daily flights. Whereas Madrid-New York JFK expanded from 10 to 13 flights a week. The carrier is also planning two daily flights to New York in March 2023.
