American Airlines to eliminate first class on domestic flights

It will soon be goodbye to First Class for American Airlines on its domestic routes. And with it, it will be a short and definitive farewell to a leading product on domestic routes in the United States.

American is in fact the last major company to offer a genuine Flagship First service. This First Class is still fitted on some Airbus A321s and Boeing B777s. Where a Business Class is also offered.

But with the launch ofa new domestic Business Class product in 2023 With the delivery of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the days of Flagship First are now numbered. The arrival of the Airbus A321XLR in 2024 should also bring the other aircraft up to the new business class standards.
