What is the ambition of your Cityzenbooking.com website, created in June 2009?
For the first time, Cityzenbooking is bringing together a range of hotel residences in around a hundred urban areas in France. This already represents 250 hotel apartments thanks to the fifty or so partnerships signed with specialists in the sector, such as Adagio City Aparthotel, Citéa, My Suite, Residhome, Odalys, Quiétude Evasion, Lagrange, Pierre & Vacances, Staycity, Clarion Suites... And we don't intend to limit ourselves to France by offering the major European cities such as London and Brussels. Asia and North America, where we already have a significant offer, should follow.
How does the site work?
Each partner manages its rates and availability on Cityzenbooking.com via an extranet. Customers can view availability in real time and the rates, which are reduced for longer stays. However, the site does not allow online payment. Customers leave their credit card number to confirm their booking, and the stay is then paid directly to the accommodation provider.
What are the site's initial results?
Cityzenbooking attracts between 600 and 700 visitors a day, with a conversion rate of between 2 and 2.5. We made 300 bookings in October, in line with our targets, including 40 % from business travellers. Demand is mainly from Paris and the Ile-de-France region, but also from Bordeaux, Lyon and Lille. It takes a year to become visible on the Internet, and I hope we'll reach a rate of 1,500 bookings a month by the end of the first year.
