London at the top of international air capacity in Europe

According to OAG's statistics on worldwide seat capacity, London Heathrow is the leading international airline departing from Europe.
As the hub for British Airways and its oneworld partners, Heathrow terminal 5 is one of the most modern and efficient in Europe. Above all, it is a showcase for "made in Britain". All the British brands are present in this terminal, which looks like a shopping centre, from Harrods to Paul Smith, from the restaurant of British cooking star Gordon Ramsay to the traditional pub. Numerous shops offer products exclusively reserved for terminal 5. However, those with a sour taste will find that the terminal offers very little in the way of British culture, apart from sandwiches, beer and souvenirs of varying degrees of success...

London Heathrow recently announced that it had become Europe's leading airport in terms of traffic.. This assertion is confirmed by OAG's latest analyses of seat capacity.

London Heathrow, the big winner on the North Atlantic

While total capacity from the UK is still down by some 15%, London Heathrow is at the top of European intercontinental routes. In particular to the United States where London Heathrow-New York JFK remains Europe's leading intercontinental market, with 281,291 seats available in October 2022.

This compares with 155,968 seats on the Paris CDG-JFK route...
