Guests at the group's two establishments can enjoy a Crust restaurant serving international cuisine, a German-inspired bistro, Genuss, and a café where they can enjoy a coffee or tea at high tea time. From the recent announcement of a new extended stay brand by Marriott to the developments expected from Accor and Radisson, the 'extended stay' segment is on a roll worldwide. And what's true for hotel groups is also true for long-stay accommodation specialists. These include Adagio prepares for a productive end to the year. Following the opening of its 125th establishment in Hamburg, the Adagio Access Mülendhamm, in the Hohenfelde district, the brand jointly owned by Accor and Pierre&Vacances will open a second aparthotel in Scotland, in Glasgow, at the beginning of December.
The eighth Adagio aparthotel in the UK, the new property joins the Adagio Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Located just a few minutes' walk from Glasgow Central Station and St Enoch's underground station, as well as being close to the international business district, Adagio Glasgow Central offers 162 flats, a gym, laundry facilities and a library of objects. In keeping with the city's history and culture, the hotel reflects both its industrial past and celebrates one of its most famous figures, the designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh, with students from the Glasgow School of Art invited to propose their interpretation of the emblematic rose created by the designer.
