Already partners in the Star Alliance, Thai Airways International and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed an expanded Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).. This agreement will result in a new strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of code sharing and on a large-scale commercial collaboration. It should offer customers of both companies more options and added value.

In the first stage all SIA and Thai flights will be code-shared between Bangkok and Singapore. Thai will also share SIA flights to Cape Town, Johannesburg, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver by the first quarter of 2023.

The two airlines have already discussed the possibility of extending these codeshares to Europe, India and the Pacific.
