UK to simplify security rules on liquids and laptops on planes

The United Kingdom has decided to relax airport rules restricting the volume of liquids allowed on board aircraft by June 2024. As well as the obligation to remove computers and other electronic items from hand luggage. Good news for passengers!

Travelling by plane also means having to put up with the inconvenience of security rules for hand luggage checks. The requirement to limit liquid containers to 100 ml and to remove all electronic devices from hand luggage seems unavoidable.. And yet... In Japan, for example, machines at major airports have long been able to detect whether the liquid in a bottle is an explosive or just a drink.

Many airport security professionals confess that it is sufficiently sophisticated detection equipment already exists to assess whether the pasty object seen on the scanner...
