What is the busiest day of the week for video conferences? How is the average length of a videoconference changing? Which tools are preferred by participants? These are just some of the questions raised by Zoom in the results of its latest study. Conducted during one year - from November 2021 to the end of October 2022 - this will provide a clearer picture of the the place of videoconferencing in the business worldand above all in the famous "world after". It appears that the average length of a Zoom meeting has remained stable overall, rising from 54 minutes in 2021 to 52 minutes last year. The average number of participants was down significantly: Zoom meetings averaged 7 participants in 2022, three fewer than in the previous year. In addition, screen sharing was used in almost half of all meetings (46.5 %), according to the study.
According to figures published by Zoom on Thursday, Meetings activity is concentrated in the middle of the week. Tuesday is the busiest day in terms of the number of meetings, use of conference rooms and organisation of hybrid events. And Wednesday is the busiest day for telephone calls, group chats, the use of virtual whiteboards and the organisation of webinars. Unsurprisingly, 1 January was the least busy day for webinars in 2022, with 24 February taking first place in terms of peak audience.
