Air France launches its new cabins on Dakar, New York and Rio de Janeiro

New York-JFK, Rio de Janeiro and Dakar are the lucky destinations chosen by Air France for the launch of its brand new long-haul cabin products. Take off on 20 January!

From 20 January 2023, a Boeing 777-300 ER equipped with the latest long-haul travel cabins fromAir France will link Paris-Charles de Gaulle to New York-JFK. The aircraft will also serve the airport of Rio de Janeiro from 21 January and Dakar on 22 January.

The refurbishment of 12 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft in theAir France is gradually making it possible to offer more flights equipped with the new cabins. The winter season will see the first three destinations benefit from the new-look cabins. Other destinations will follow over the course of the year.

Thanks to this new major step in the move upmarket atAir France, all long-haul Business cabins of the company are equipped with armchairs that can be transformed into real beds entirely flat by the end of 2023, compared with 90% today. By this date, the entire fleet (except on regional routes) will also be equipped with on-board Wi-Fi, compared with 97% today.

New travel standards

Visit Business cabin (48 seats), the aircraft has a new chair inspired by the iconic, softly curving seat fromAir France. But in a completely new version. It is based on the 3 "F" concept: Full Flat, a real flat bed almost 2 metres long; Full Access, direct access to the driveway; and Full Privacy, for maximum privacy..

A new sliding door allows you to have your own private space, away from the rest of the cabin. So you can travel closer together, the seats in the middle of the cab now have a central wall that can be lowered. There's plenty of space to enjoy the journey together. The chair also has a large 17.3-inch High Definition anti-glare screen.with noise-reducing headphones, a new Bluetooth connection so you can use your own headphones, and multiple sockets.

As you take your seat in this cabin, you are greeted by a backlit winged seahorse, the symbol of the airline. Inside the seat, the upholstery gives a feeling of softness and intimacy. Wool, brushed aluminium, French full-grain leather, Air France has chosen noble, soft and natural materials for its manufacture. Finally, each armchair is embroidered with the red accent, another of the company's brand symbols.

Large screens and free internet in Premium Economy and Economy

In the Premium Economy cabin (48 seats), Air France introduces its latest recliner modelalready offered on its Airbus A350, while further enhancing comfort. On board, everyone benefits from 96 cm of legroom. The seat foams have been reworked and the navy blue herringbone fabric is even softer. Backrest reclines up to 124 degrees and has been enlarged to offer greater privacy. Noise-reducing headphones and USB A and C sockets complete the package.

Economy cabin (273 seats), the seats also meet the highest standards of comfort on the market. The passenger benefits from a 43 cm seat, a 119 degree recline and 79 cm of legroom.. The seat back is ergonomically designed and offers enhanced lateral support. A USB A port is also available.

Both cabins feature a 13.3-inch High Definition screen equipped with Bluetooth. Ideal for discovering 1,500 hours of on-demand entertainment with your own headphones.
