Delano and Mondrian: ongoing expansion of these lifestyle brands

The lifestyle brands of Accor and Ennismore are starting to weave their webs. Maison Delano has just appeared in Paris, with Seoul to follow in 2026. Mondrian hotels, meanwhile, are expanding internationally, from Riyadh to Hong Kong, and from Abu Dhabi to Singapore.

Like Raffles, St Regis and Waldorf Astoria, Delano and Mondrian intend to keep the flame of their pennant hotels burning and spreading it around the world. These developments include the opening in Paris of the first Delano Housean intimate variation on the original concept. With just 56 rooms, including 19 suites, the Maison Delano Paris revisits a private mansion near Place de la Concorde, rue d'Anjou, as a cosy, sophisticated cocoon. A revisit, or rather an extension, of this vocation, as the place was once home to the Buddha Bar Hotel.

La Chambre Bleue, a marine and Iberian restaurant designed by Michelin-starred chef Dani Garcia, is set in the courtyard of the hotel. The budding adventure of Maison Delano will continue at Seoul à Looking ahead to 2026A new 81-room cocoon in Gangnam, the key district of the Korean capital. Reflecting both the city and Asia's sense of purity, the hotel is set to reinterpret the traditional Korean pavilion in a contemporary way. It is organised around a courtyard enclosing a garden away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul. Seoul has also been home to a Mondrian hotel for nearly three years now, as the brand has turned the Korean capital into a major tourist destination. one of the first examples of its internationalisation. Born in the United States, it has also been exported to Doha, Mexico City, London and, more recently, France. This Accor group brand recently made its appearance in Cannes, restoring the glamour of one of the local legends, the Grand Hôtel. Soon, it will also be present in BordeauxWith a 97-room hotel in the Chartrons district, in the image of the brand.

The Duxton district in Singapore, the Kowloon district in Hong Kong, the Gold Coast in Australia: the future of the brand will have many faces.Asian accents this year. But in the longer term, the brand will also be expanding its offering in the Middle East. A region where Ennismore is multiplying its projects with, expected this year, SO/ hotels in Jeddah and Dubai, and a Mama Shelter also in Dubai. All this comes on top of the recent announcement of luxury SLS residences on The Palm Island in 2026.

Mondrian, for its part, will be heading for the United Arab Emirates from 2024, in Abu Dhabi. Located in the city's business district, along the Abu Dhabi Canal, the hotel will have 221 rooms and 80 residential flats. Designed by interior architect Tristan Du Plessis, the hotel will mix relaxation elements with six bars and restaurants, a spa and a swimming pool, and more business-oriented elements with four meeting rooms and a ballroom.

After Abu Dhabi, Mondrian will turn its attention to another Middle Eastern destination in 2026, Riyadh. Part of the Al Malga Urban Village leisure complex currently under development in the north of the Saudi capital, the hotel will offer 200 keys, including 130 classic rooms, with the remainder of the offer made up of one- to three-bedroom flats. Also designed by Tristan Du Plessis to LEED sustainable standards, the Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga will include three bars and restaurants as well as extensive event spaces.
