London Gatwick becomes a European hub for Air India

Four new destinations have been added to Air India's network from London Gatwick. The airline is launching flights to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Kochi and Goa from South London airport.

Since 26 March, the official start of the summer schedules, Air India has strengthened its presence in the UK. The Indian national airline has launched 4 new routes from London Gatwick to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Kochi and Goa.

Each of these destinations is served three times a week by the airline's Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Air India is not abandoning its historic London Heathrow base, however. Quite the contrary: the airline is also strengthening its services to its two main destinations, Delhi and Mumbai. The number of flights has risen from 12 to 14 flights on Heathrow-Mumbai and 14 to 17 frequencies on Heathrow-Delhi...
