Faced with increasingly fierce competition, the companies American Airlines and JetBlue Airways are strengthening their joint offer from New York. Both carriers offer their "Northeast Alliance from the three New York airports of JFK, La Guardia and Newark. However, the La Guardia hub will be the main beneficiary of the new services for summer 2023, with around ten new destinations.
The Northeast Alliance offers nearly 300 daily departures from New York's John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), serving 49 of the world's 50 largest air markets in 2023. At New York's three main airports, the Northeast Alliance will offer a total of more than 500 daily departures next year.

From 5 May, American to launch new services to several new destinations from La Guardia. These are Birmingham (Alabama), Buffalo (New York), Columbia (South Carolina), Grand Rapids (Michigan), Greenville (South Carolina) and Knoxville (Tennessee). The carrier is also resuming its seasonal summer service to Asheville (North Carolina).
From his side, JetBlue launches four new routes from LaGuardia to Atlanta (ATL), Hyannis (Massachusetts), Nassau (Bahamas) and Bermuda. It is also resuming services to Montego Bay in Jamaica from Newark and introducing its Mint business product between Newark and Aruba.
And from France, American Airlines has just added extra frequencies on the Paris-Dallas Fort Worth route and in June relaunched the Paris CDG-Charlottewhich will be discontinued in 2019. The carrier is also taking over the Frankfurt-Charlotte and London Heathrow-Seattle routes.
