A new Airbus A380 to Frankfurt-Singapore, more flights to Copenhagen, a return to non-stop flights to Barcelona and Milan, and more frequencies to Australia, China, Malaysia and Vietnam. Here's what's planned Singapore Airlines for its next winter programme and for the 2024 summer season. The company is also reintroducing some of its Airbus A380 to meet demand.
In detail, the changes listed below are important for European markets:
- Australiareturn to pre-Covid frequencies on Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne (5 daily flights) and Perth (4 daily flights).
- China return to pre-Covid frequencies on Beijing (3 daily flights), Hong Kong (5 then 6 daily flights) and Shanghai (4 then 5 daily flights).
- Europe : Copenhagen is back on its daily flight, Barcelona and Milan direct flights (2 weekly to Barcelona, 4 weekly to Milan). However, SIA will continue to operate 3 weekly flights on the Singapore-Milan-Barcelona route. Frankfurt to welcome back the Airbus A380 on its daily flight, while the Singapore-Manchester-Houston will benefit from 5 flights a week.
- MalaysiaSIA will serve Singapore-Kuala Lumpur 66 times a week, compared with 47 times a week at present.
- Indian sub-continentReturn to pre-Covid frequencies to Ahmedabad. More frequencies to Dhaka in Bangladesh (9 weekly flights) and commissioning of an Airbus A350-900 to the Maldives.
- Indochina10 weekly flights in summer 2024 on the Singapore-Rangoon (Burma) route and a return to pre-pandemic frequencies on the Singapore-Danang (Vietnam) route.
