Air Algérie in South Africa

Air Algérie has just announced that it will be opening its first air service to Southern Africa, to Johannesburg, in September.

It will be the longest route in Air Algérie's African network. On 21 September, the Algerian national carrier will inaugurate its first non-stop service to the United States.South Africa. The carrier will be offering two flights a week, every Thursday and Saturday, to Johannesburg.. Flights with two classes of service on board will be operated by Airbus A330-200.

This will be the longest route in Africa for the Algerian airline. To date, its longest flight in sub-Saharan Africa has been to Paris.Abidjanin Côte d'Ivoire.

Air Algérie is committed to renewing its fleetThis should result in the launch of new routes in sub-Saharan Africa as well as in Europe. The airline has placed an order for 15 medium- and long-haul aircraft, including 2 Airbus A350-1000s, 5 A330-900s and 8 Boeing B737-9s.
