
Trainline and Fairjungle are strengthening their partnership by adding services to the Swiss, Belgian and Dutch national railway companies. The young TMC now benefits from Trainline Partner Solutionsthe BtoB division of Trainline, inventories of SBB and Benerailthe Belgian-Dutch platform founded in 2003 by the SNCB and NS. The multimodal platform and the online agency have been working together since 2019, in particular on the distribution of content from the SNCF. " After SNCF, Benerail and SBB, we plan to open up other [rail] markets next year with Fairjungle" said a Trainline representative.

Promoting rail as a more responsible means of transport
In a joint press release, Saad Berrada, CEO and co-founder in 2017 of Fairjungle - which defines itself as an eco-responsible TMC - welcomes this extended partnership which " demonstrates our commitment to offer more sustainable business travel in Europe. Together, we are creating a future where professional mobility rhymes with respect for the environment and efficiency" . In the same greener vein, Liz Emmot, head of Tranline Partners Solutions, believes that the agreement " will make it easier for Fairjungle customers to access the European network. By encouraging more business travellers to choose the train, we will be helping to reduce CO2 emissions linked to business travel." .
European TMCs in their sights
Trainline currently has agreements with almostaround forty TMCs including business agencies Havas VoyagesVoyagExpert, FCM Travel, TravelPerk, NavanOkarito (acquired last year by Swile) and Fairjungle. In France, Fairjungle competes with the SNCFConnectHowever, the platform, which markets 270 rail and bus companies, does not disclose its market share, arguing that it is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The British company entered the French market in 2016 at the time of the acquisition of start-up Captain Train.
