KM Malta Airlines replaces Air Malta

A smooth and almost invisible transition for passengers with the end of Air Malta, replaced by KM Malta Airlines.

A new airline is taking to the skies of Europe. Since 2 October, the company Air Malta is no more. It has been officially replaced by KM Malta Airlines. The changes will be "almost transparent" for passengers, according to the government. The company will retain a similar number of aircraft -8 Airbus A320ceo and A320neo.

No disruption to flight schedules is expected. In fact, Air Malta, which is heavily in debt - according to its CEO, a daily loss of 170,000 euros is expected in 2021 - has favoured a transformation of its business model. the model chosen by the Italian government for ex-Alitalia as requested by the European Union. Only the livery of the aircraft will change to reflect the new identity.

On French-speaking Europe, the former Air Malta served Paris CDG and Orly, Lyon, Nice, Brussels and Geneva. For a total network of almost twenty destinations.
