The 140, 170 and 175 models will enable the company to expand its regional network with aircraft of appropriate size. "The Embraers are a key element in our network development strategy, enabling us to strengthen our Warsaw hub", explains CEO Sebastian Mikosz. In June, the carrier decided to replace four 82-seat Embraer 175s with four 100-seat Embraer 195s. They will be delivered next year.
LOT has increased its routes to Central Europe and the former Soviet Union. It has just reopened the Warsaw-Tallinn route in Estonia (one daily flight), increased its flights to Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) and, since 1 July, has been landing in Yerevan, Armenia. Finally, after a six-year absence, LOT has resumed services to Bratislava in Slovakia (six flights a week).
