
The Hyatt group is continuing to expand its footprint in Europe, this summer in particular with the opening of a Hyatt Regency resort in Bulgaria. Located an hour from Sofia, with a view over Pravets lake, the new establishment is ideal for leisure activities, thanks to its 18-hole golf course, but also for business meetings with a conference centre for up to 500 people.
Participants at the next Davos Economic Forum in January will be able to stay at a new addition to the American group: the Hotel Flüela Davos, part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. A newcomer and yet the oldest hotel in the Swiss resortIts history dates back to the mid-19th century.e century. Opposite the station, close to the slopes and the conference centre, the hotel has recently been refurbished and offers around fifty rooms combining elegance with views of the snow-capped mountains.
However, the future of the Hyatt group also lies on its home continent, with a host of new products and services. new hotels coming soon to Canada, Mexico and the United States. In Houston, for example, the Thompson brand will be offering a 172-room hotel aimed at business travellers from December onwards, with its private heliport and 1,500 m² of indoor and outdoor event space, the largest of which can accommodate up to 800 people, all with a view over Buffalo Bayou Park and the skyline of the Texan metropolis.
In addition to the United States, the group intends to increase its presence in Canada, where Hyatt plans to double in size by 2026. In addition to the 20 hotels currently on offer, a further 23 are due to be added in the near future. This expansion will target the areas around the main Canadian hubs, with a Hyatt Place expected in 2025 at Montreal's Trudeau airport and Hyatt Palce/Hyatt House combos in the pipeline near Toronto and Vancouver international airports, as well as the Airport Corporate Centre in Mississauga. Among other planned openings, Hyatt Centric will be expanding into new secondary cities such as Winnipeg and Victoria, in British Columbia.
In Mexico, Hyatt will leverage its relationship with developer Parks Hospitality Holdings to bring new hotels to life, particularly in Cancun with a luxurious Park Hyatt with extensive event facilities expected in 2025, and a Hyatt Place planned for the airport a little later. At the same time, the Grand Hyatt brand will be offering a resort in Los Cabos, as well as its first hotel in Mexico City, with 287 rooms and almost 1,000 m² dedicated to meetings and events.
